This download includes a full lesson plan from Rachel Clarke on using Paddington Bear to teach the lost art of letter writing.

There are six activities in total, and all resources mentioned in them are included here. They are:

• Prepare your post office: Set one up in your classroom, along with a letter-writing area
• Wish you were here: Get your children to send Paddington a postcard about somewhere interesting in your locale
• Put your stamp on it: Learn about and design your own stamps
• Message in a bottle: Collect old bottles to write one of these
• Look after this bear: Print out labels for children to put on things around the classroom
• He’s in safe hands: Think about how the Brown family look after Paddington, and how you would look after him in school
